Shootout tournaments

A Shootout is a form of tournament that rewards players with major tournament entries or cash prizes.

Unlike a regular tournament, in Shootouts, tables are not balanced as players are eliminated. Instead, play continues until there's only one player remaining at each of the tables. Those individual table winners are then seated at new tables, where they again play until there is only one player left.

A Double Shootout starts with nine tables of nine players, with the individual table winners combining to form one more table to decide the overall winner.

Triple Shootouts and Quadruple Shootouts mean players need to win three or four consecutive tables respectively.

Shootout tournaments will usually be canceled unless a minimum number of players are registered. The tournament lobby will contain information about the minimum number of players required.
